Our training is vastly superior in that we provide HANDS-ON skills practice

(no boring slides or video) with a "real world" approach to pet emergency care. 

The training features a focus on hands-on skills practice to ensure understanding, proficiency and retention of the life saving skills taught. Experience the difference 

of  being taught by an instructor with thirty plus years field experience in pre-hospital emergency medical care both administering and teaching these life saving skills in

an emergency. There is no substitute for real world experience!

In-Person Training Classes

Pet CPR & First Aid 
Duration: 2.5 hours

Advanced Pet First Aid 
Duration: 3 hours

Developed for those who have completed our basic Pet CPR & First Aid
training and wish to learn even more skills to help pets in an emergency!  

​

       Hands-on Skills Practice 
  • ​Review of Key Basic Skills (Muzzling, CPR - all size dogs/cats, Tourniquets) 

  • Advanced Bleeding Control/Bandaging Techniques 

        >Impalements (including eye injuries) 

  • Fracture Management (splinting)

  • Packaging/Transport of Injured Pets

        >Spinal Injury Protection

        >Improvising an emergency stretcher

A unique aspect of our Advanced Pet First Aid class is highly interactive hands-on scenarios     based on "real world" emergencies - put the skills you've learned to the ultimate test!!

Duration: 2.5 hours
(minimum of 20 students required)

Pet CPR & First Aid for Veterinary Care Professionals 

Duration: 2.5 hours

Geared for vet techs/assistants teaching a "street medicine"
approach to emergency veterinary care for clinical providers

       Hands-on Skills Practice

  • CPR (all size dogs/cats) - Team based resuscitation approach 

  • Choking Management (Conscious and Unconscious)

  • Hemorrhage Control (Tourniquet, Impalements)

Canine First Aid & CPR for Hunters/Hikers/Boaters  
Duration: 3 hours  
 
Provides hunters/hikers/boaters with life saving skills to help their canine 
companions in the event of an emergency in the outdoor environment

Boy/Girl Scout Pet Care Merit Badge First Aid 
Duration: 1 hour 
(minimum of 15 students required)

Learn the first aid skills needed for the requirements of Pet Care Merit Badges

Pet Safety In The Home Seminar  
Duration: 1.5 hours

This highly informative presentation provides attendees with methods to
reduce potential hazards to pets as well as how to safely manage poisoning emergencies. A highly interactive display with over 50 common household
items offers further awareness, prevention and mitigation of these hazards.

  • Medications (Prescription/Over-The-Counter/Herbal)

  • Plants/Flowers/Essential Oils   

  • Environmental/Seasonal Hazards

  • Managing Pet Poisoning Emergencies

Students are provided with poisoning prevention/management hand-outs

            Great for dog obedience clubs, mothers clubs, pet care businesses or as an add-on               for our fundraiser class hosts (financial incentive provided for hosting)  

​

**Seating capacity is limited only by the size of the host's venue**

Specialty Classes 

Pet Safety House Party - gather family/friends/fellow pet lovers together for a fun time learning

life saving skills to protect their pets! The host receives their class for FREE (a $65.00 value) while

fellow students each receive a discounted registration fee. You provide the location for the class,  Paws

N Claws 911 supplies the rest (handbooks, training props, demo dogs)! Contact us for more details!     

 

Fundraiser Class - provides non-profit groups (does not have to be pet related) with a turn-key project to

raise funds without a labor/material/cost intensive effort on the part of your staff/volunteers. Educate pet parents and pet care professionals in vital life saving skills to help their four legged, furry family members and clients while earning needed funds for your group's daily operations/special projects ("Earn While You Learn"). Students receive a discounted registration fee and the host group receives a donation per student with no
